COLORS AND PATTERNS:
-try to stay away from heavier materials, such as herringbone or houndstooth, they add bulk.
-whether wearing dark or light colors, shorter men benefit from wearing ensembles where all the garments are of the same color. This gives a visual of a smooth long line (monochromatic).

BODY STYLE TIPS: we will be having a series of tips on how to dress your body type. From short to tall, and from slim to big (heavy set), we will be going through each one extensively. Today we will be starting off with dressing shorter body types . . .

SHORT: defined as 5’6″ and shorter (North America).

FIT:
-fit is always important, no matter what size you are.
-take your pants and jeans to a tailor, in order to ensure your pants are made to graze the top of your shoe. Also stick to a plain hem, cuffs visually take inches off your height. These two give an illusion of being taller by elongating your legs.
-ask your tailor to set the breast pockets of your shirts higher on your jackets, and your trouser pockets slightly lower for a elongated look.
-make sure your cuffs aren’t too long, only half an inch should be visible under your jacket or sweater.

Clothing/Shoe designers (@deltoroshoes @brentwilsonfashion on Instagram): there are countless brands that presently exist in the world, but these two designers are not only unique in their own right, but give us as consumers the same advantage as well. During the year of 2012, their consistent hard work & dedication had paid off with honorable awards & mentions by GQ Magazine, as well as a grand opening of a boutique. Step by step they continue to prove their value. So in 2013 don’t just stand there, because if it’s one of a kind pieces you want, then they’re the one of kind designers you need.
