SLIM DOUBLE BREASTED SUITS

The New Slim, Trim Double-Breasted

• If you want a double-breasted suit to look modern—and not like something from a gangster flick—keep it short and trim. And avoid the huge shoulder pads, too.

• Keep the jacket buttoned (including the interior button). It doesn’t hang well when undone.

• And unlike with single-breasted suits, unless you want to look like a singer in the ’80s R&B band, go for a higher-cut six-button suit instead of a low-slung four-button model.

NEW WAVE OF “STYLISTS”

20121129-122851.jpg

That’s right! Men are now being more conscious of their clothes, and we’re even giving our partners some advice. The tables have turned, and they’re now asking US to tag along to help them choose their next outfit. So get use to this part-time job, because its only a matters of time until (they) change it into a full time gig. TTG

IT’S YOUR VISION

Often others might be blind to your vision, and not see what you are attempting to accomplish. However, those who focus in without prejudice, can see the true beauty in your style. TTG

RULES TO CARE FOR YOUR SUIT

20121128-115653.jpg

SIMPLE SUIT CARE GOES A LONG WAY, FOLLOW THESE RULES TO GET THE BEST OUT OF YOUR SUITS.

-Moths: Dried lavender leaves and cedar wood hangers help a great deal. Mothballs are a time-tested method, but have their own drawbacks.
-To lengthen suits life, dry clean your suit only a few times a year or as needed.
– Hang your suit on a good wooden hanger and store it in a bag to protect it..
-Avoid packing it in between lots of other clothes, which could cause it to wrinkle or chances to stamp effects of color from other dull color cloths.
-To keep your suit looking crisp, have it pressed in between cleanings.
-It is important that each suit can have at least one day’s rest after wearing to avoid it from wearing out fast.
-Never hot press or have heat treatment onto a stain on the suit, otherwise it will permanently imprint the stain.

TIPS FOR HANGING JACKETS OF MEN’S SUITS

-Unbutton the suit jackets and remove any items in the pockets. This will not strain and weigh on the jacket’s pocket of the suit and keep it in its original shape.
-Make more space within your wardrobe which allows your suit jackets to hang and drape nicely without creasing.
-Keep your suit in the garment bag. If you don’t have garment bag, cover it with good cloth to avoid from dust.
-Keep your suit outside your wardrobe for one day after wearing. It will help dry up any moisture in your suit. It also helps to rejuvenate wool since it is a natural fiber.

FIVE WAYS TO TIE YOUR SCARF

20121127-115147.jpg

Grab your scarves and start experimenting!

1) The Overhand knot: Like tying shoelaces. Great, loose knot.
2) The Once Round: Once around your neck. Both ends up front. Good for colder weather.
3) The Twice Round: Double a Once-Round. Great for the cold winter.
4) The Four In Hand: As a necktie. Similar to an Overhand, but a bit classier.
5) The French Knot: Ends through the loop. A warm, fashionable choice.
Don’t tie too tightly; you don’t want to leave creases.

Never be afraid to sport colors others are cautious to play with. In this game of fashion, you’re the only player who can perform your style best. Coach always said there’s no “I” in “TEAM”… but there is a “ME.” TTG
