BODY STYLE TIPS: LARGE PT.1

LARGE: Large body types vary widely. You may be tall with a massive frame or short and heavyset. You’re above average weight or size. If you fall into the latter category, you’ll also be quite wide around your torso.

FIT:
-Select clothing that skims over your frame, as it will smooth out your physique.
-Your jackets should be a little longer in order to provide more coverage of your posterior.
-Choose tops, blazers and outerwear with slightly structured shoulders, as these will give you an authoritative air and will direct attention to your face.
-For jeans and trousers, opt for a relaxed fit rather than straight.
-Ask your tailor to let your pants fall near your heel, to give the illusion of longer leaner legs.
-Do not wear oversize/baggy clothing.

THE NEW TREND: MATURITY

Young men might be taking it into their own hands to take over and renovate tailored clothing, but age is nothing but a number. Getting older does not mean that your style remains static, best part about aging is being able to experience the many different trends that occurred. You are as young as you feel. TTG

SUITS, DRINKS AND YOUTH

Age is not of importance when determining when is the right time to start wearing suits. You can still enjoy your youth and show that through your style, while still wearing a great tailored suit. TTG

BALANCE IS KEY

Have your suit measure up to some of the high end brand names out there. Give your jackets a “nip and tuck” to remove the excess fabric on the side of your torso and your arms. TTG

IMPORTANCE OF TAILORING

20130221-131403.jpg

There’s a reason why bespoke and custom tailoring is important when wearing suits and blazers. A ready to wear suit just wouldn’t give you the same finished look. Visit your local tailor or search for one, and get your suits fit for your body. You’re measurements shouldn’t be generalized, so make sure your clothing is fit uniquely. TTG

Valentines day has arrived and reservations have been made, now all you have to do is prepare your outfit for tonight. Keep it simple but yet a tad formal when putting it together. A grey suit with a white cotton dress shirt is good enough for the foundation, now time for the additions. Brown monk-strap shoes and belt to tie it all in. To top it off with some valentines day spirit, throw on a salmon color tie for a splash of color. Enjoy your day and every other day with your loved ones, Happy Valentines Day! TTG
